Boylesque Festival Vienna: "Yodeling Lederhosen Boylesque Gala"

15th May 2015, 7 p.m. THE SOUND OF BOYLESQUE Boylesque Festival Vienna presented by Jacques Patriaque and kulturbanane.at The "2nd annual Boylesque Festival Vienna" once again brings the crème of the crop of the Boylesque, Burlesque, Draglesque and Queerlesque world to Vienna. The festival is the first of its kind in Europe and combines the imperial flair of Vienna with contemporary trends. Austria — long known for the scenic landscapes from "The Sound of Music", possibly coupled with a little bit of activism and of course the melodies that flowed from Mozart's quill still echoed in international perception. But then came Conchita Wurst and won the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest for Austria, and all of a sudden, the quaint country in the heart of Europe had a new face and new goals. She made us all unstoppable — and gender was irrelevant. Similarly, at the Boylesque Festival Vienna, where Conchita Wurst graced the stage as a special guest in 2014, not only "boys" will swing their tassles in the Boy-, Bur-, Drag- and Queerlesque performances. Men, women and "anyone in between" will how they will twirl the hell out of those tassels and how glamorously they will take part in this exceptional festival.
